6 panel CD digipak, CD graphic, promotional posters and advertisements

The 2014 Western Music Association Album of the Year was awarded to Belinda Gail for Granite Mountain. Steve's cover design won the first-ever WMA award for CD graphics.

Steve and Belinda began brainstorming the project before the first track was cut.  ADS produced the photo shoot and designed all the graphics for the album release and corresponding promotional materials.

Graphics were designed to printer specifications and incorporated UPC and QR codes.

​Steve had full creative control over the design and illustration of this wonderful novel.  Starting from concept, on to the photo shoot, through the oil painting illustration and finally the design that brought it all together.

Cowgirl True duo Belinda Gail (right) and Diane Tribitt (left) released their CD Out of the Chute in the summer of 2014.  I’m honored that they chose me to photograph and design their first CD.  The setting of this weathered and rustic chute provides the perfect visual for the CD title.  The golden light near sunset makes this photo glow and these two talented ladies always shine brightly.  As they walk toward you, the fringe on their chaps move in synch with the grasses.  Design elements include the scratched overlay on the background and subtle border ornamentation.  The Cowgirl True logo draws attention by the placement, size and color.  The CD name is secondary so I chose font and color accordingly.  The washed red stars and blue type bring continuity with the red and blue in Cowgirl True’s wild rags and the faded denim of a favorite pair of jeans.

Packaging for a double CD digipak.  Photography was done at a live performance.  Concert lighting and highlights were added.

CD Cover and Graphics

Packaging for the first CD produced by the Rusty Pistols Cowboy Band is a combination of logo design, incorporating an original oil painting and western package design.

The RPCB logo depicts the good ol’ fashioned guitar flanked by single action revolvers.
